I have been matched betting for two and a half years. See how I started out in my blog post My Matched Betting Journey. So over two and a half years in and it is getting harder to make good money! The main reason for this is that lots of bookies no longer want to give me offers! But I have made so far over £17,000.....amazing for part time work sat at home! I am spending about 1 to 2 hours a day matched betting now. Lots of people make more than me and put in more time than me. My earnings over the last 6 months range from £684 to £274 a month which actually is still not bad going. I am sticking with it a bit longer as it is still enough each month to make a difference to me. Just this week it has paid for a deposit for my son's school trip and a new tablet which I need for my new venture (blog post coming soon!). To conclude: this is an easy way to earn money short to medium term, in the long term we will see! But at the moment an extra £350+ per month is useful to me. Click the button to learn more! I can't be in two places at once, or three or four!! But this time of year I sometimes wish I could be! I have had more enquiries than ever this year from people looking for me to have a stall at their event. This is great of course, as people are finding my details and getting in touch. I am just so booked up, with many of my Christmas events having been booked since the start of the year!
So how do I choose which events to do at busy times? This is to be honest a little hit and miss. I always make sure I have my regular good fairs booked in as soon as I can, then I fit in what I can around that. Then I talk to other stall holders and find out which ones have been good for them in the past. Then I look at the local ones and fit them in if I can. This year I have been offered a few which have been free, they just want a raffle prize, I take these if I can as they are a great way to advertise my business!
I find it very frustrating to see so many selling opportunities that I am not able to do for one reason or another. But I do what I can and I consider each fair very carefully as I don't want to take on too much and burn out before the Christmas season is finished! In fact a couple of years ago, I took on too many and it became really stressful and totally put me off doing any fairs the following year!
