Early this week I had a fair cancelled for Saturday, due to the hall being double booked! My initial thoughts, "Oh no what a shame I could have done X fair that I said no to". But did I then try and get this alternative booked in? No, I decided that instead the kids and I would put up our Christmas Tree! Always at this time of year I am fully booked and rushing from place to place. So this weekend it was nice to both have the Friday evening off (the first for 4 weeks) and the Saturday off too.
So Friday evening we walked into town for the Christmas lights switch on and Saturday we went to a Christmas Fayre and put up the Christmas Tree. And in the evening I even managed to get a bit of paperwork done! It was very nice not to be juggling everything for change. This is why I love working as I do, it is so flexible. I book in what I want to do and if I want to take a break I can. The only trouble is sometimes I don't know how to say NO!!
