Thinking of You Week is an initiative by the Greeting Card Association to promote the benefits of sending greetings cards. In the UK the average person sends 33 cards a year and the UK greetings card market is worth £1.75 billion. So is this just a marketing ploy to get me to send more cards I hear you ask?!! Maybe.....but have a think.
I know my Flamingo Paperie cards make people happy, its part of the reason I love what I do! I see it every time I do a stall or a pop-up shop. People browse my card stand and the cards make them smile. They smile because they have seen a funny card, or because they have a seen a card which is perfect for a certain person or they have seen a card which they can relate to. Even if they don't buy I am happy because the cards have given them a smile. I think that Thinking of You Week is a great way to promote the mental health benefits of sending and receiving greetings cards. If it makes you feel nice to send a card and it makes the person feel loved to receive the card then send away!! #sendacarddeliverasmile Here is more information from the Greeting Card Association: Here are some fantastic blog posts on Thinking of You Week if you would like to read more. https://www.blueeyedsun.co.uk/blog/thinking-of-you-week/ and https://www.pgbuzz.net/ukg-begins-the-countdown-to-thinking-of-you-week/
